Introduction

The Wesley Warriors project is a project I decided todo because I wanted to give back to the Wesley hospital for taking such great care of my family and I

I was in the hospital 3 different times for a week at a time. I had not been feeling my best but I had Covid in August and I was in the middle of my senior golf season so I was always tried and just meh but it was not getting any better after golf ended so then my little brother broke his foot so we where already going to the doctor so I just tagged along and the doctor told me to go get my blooded tested then within 20min she called us back and said we need to go the hospital right away so I went to the hospital October 14th 2020 with a 3.1 hemoglobin I had no idea what that was I was scared because we have to rush to the hospital even tho I was 17 I was still super scared then at my hospital stay I had 3 blood transfusion and a half of iron infusion. I only got half because I had a reaction to the iron, my arm was getting tight I did not think much of it at the time and then my chest was starting to feel the same way and it was hard to breath so I then I had the doctor that was in the floor in my room all her residence and my nurse the pushed Benadryl in my IV very quickly and that lead to a panic attack. I final went home the next day we where still not sure how my blood dropped so quickly so we did many more test and even made a trip up the Kansas City to try to find out what was wrong but we still had no luck every time we thought we knew what it was it was not. Final in January the test stoped for a little bit because I was doing better and they could not find anything.

On February 25th I went and got my blood tested and then on February 26th they called back tell us my blood was at 4.7 we where so confused how it dropped so quickly! So we went to the hospital and packed bags this time and they tested my blood

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus your own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
